Patricio Lorente of City Bell, Argentina is a scholar devoted to outreach activities in education. He is currently the General Secretary of Administration of the National University of La Plata. Lorente joined Spanish Wikipedia as an editor in early 2005 and has been an administrator since 2006. He is a founding member of Wikimedia Argentina and served as president from 2007 – 2012. He was selected as a Wikimedia Foundation Board Trustee in the years 2012, 2014, and 2016. He served as chair of the Wikimedia Foundation Board from July 2015 through June 2016.
